Good When Dry
By RhoDawg | 2016-10-17These sandals fit my feet wonderfully, are very comfortable, and look great. However, if the foot bed gets wet, forget about it. My foot slides around in the sandal like I'm standing on ice. Very unstable, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna cause me to blow out the toe piece sooner or later. Great flip flop, if you never get wet (which defeats the purpose right?).
Please bring back the leather Ohana
By o2foru2 | 2016-08-31I got this pair to replace the leather 'Ohana's I had bought about 5 years ago. They were still wearable, but finally showing wear and tear. The past 2 years I had some very bad foot problems and these are one of the best pair of shoes I can wear for any length of time because of the arch support and overall comfort. I was excited when I got them in the mail after 2 days. I was a bit disappointed when I opened them only to find out they are not leather. I'm sure they are a good sandal, but please please bring back the leather 'Ohana. I've worn them fishing in the Atlantic ocean surf and crawling on the jetties, in the Florida rain, I've even mowed my lawn in them in many occasions and still 5 years later the leather is still holding up. I really doubt this newer model will hold up as long with such wear. After contacting customer support, they sent me to other leather models that I'm sure I'll enjoy just as much. I can't really rate the durability or quality of the newer non-leather model since I am sending them back, but my older leather 'Ohana shoes are so awesome.
By Jeff | 2016-08-30This company is amazing. By far the easiest to deal with and great customer support. I wear my flip flops almost daily year around and when my toestrap started to break they quickly swapped them out with a new pair. I highly recommend you buy from this company.
Best Flip Flops I've owned.
By Karl F | 2016-08-11I bought a pair of Hokua, in January 2016, and they went to Mexico with me in February, where I wore them 24/7. For my foot the size was perfect (11M), with great arch support. Since then I've worn them almost all the time I'm out and about locally, and seem to hold up really well. I loved them so much I bought a pair of 'Ohana which fit just like the other pair. I've been using them to wear inside the house. I may take this pair to Mexico this coming February (2017).
Sole comes loose
By Trekx | 2016-07-17This is my second pair because they are so comfortable, but on both pair the sole has come loose.
Slippery when wet
By RB89 | 2016-05-22I love almost everything about these flops. The one negative thing is they are HORRIBLE when wet. The footbed itself is like an ice rink. I wore them on a dive boat a couple times and my foot constantly slid of the footbed.
I tried some of the Lifeguard ones for added traction, but they are not near as comfortable as these.
Hoping OluKai can make this exact flop with some kind of non skid footbed.
Spare of the moment purchase turned into a true value.
By Werebear | 2016-05-19I blew out my cheapo flip flops on Santa Maria Island in Florida with nothing else to wear of course at the beginning of the day at the beach. We only could find one store open on a Sunday morning that sold any shoes. These seemed like an expense price for just a pair of sandals and I had not heard of the brand. It has been one of my best purchases in years. I wear them nearly every day. They are comfortable and durable with good traction. I am big guy (300+ lbs) and they don't seem to mind. When they finally break which I hope is never, I will be saddened. I highly recommend them. I plan on buying another pair soon just for backup.
By Unco Woowie | 2016-05-08My wife got this pair for me a few years ago. They were the best flip flops ever, extremely comfortable, easy to slide my feet into, and attractive. I finally lost one, so now I am back for another pair. Luckily, I had one left over so I could look up the brand and find more. This is the very least expensive of the many styles, and it's perfect! I wonder what the $100-plus slippers are like? Oh well, since the 'Ohana exceeds my expectations in every way, I don't HAVE to find out!
Unquestionably the best
By Dave | 2016-05-08I have two pairs of these. One is ten years old, the other is about four year old. I live in the Phoenix area where sandals are the uniform of the day for most of the year, so they get a LOT of use. The first time I put a pair of these on I was amazed that sandals could be so comfortable.
I Love These Slippas
By HapaHaoleUSMC | 2016-04-27I grew up wearing slippers (slippas, zoris, sandals - whatever) just about everyday. These are without question the best pair I have ever worn. The strap holds my foot firmly, yet gently in place. The arch support is comfortable and not intrusive. The foot bed is comfortable - I think I could stand up all day and work in these slippers. The sole has a functional and attractive tread pattern. The materials appear to be of high quality, and the workmanship looks to be the same.
At first I was scared off by the price. I had never paid more than $30 for a pair of slippers in my life. After thinking about it, the price is actually pretty fair for what I received. I liked my 'Ohana slippers (sandals) so much, I purchased the KEKOA SLIDE. You guys have a customer for life.
By Darin | 2016-03-28This is 100% the best flip-flop I have ever had. I just broke the string at the toe after 3 years. I wore this everyday in the summer. It was my go to flip-flop. I have it in brown and in blue. I am ordering it again.
By Jeremy | 2016-02-10Best sandals I've had in a long time! I have 2 pair. Only wish they had more fun colors!
